Their hatred does not require your acceptance. Their prejudice does not deserve your participation—even as its target. You can confront bigotry. You can expose it. You can challenge it. You can walk away from it when possible. But you never have to internalize it, excuse it, or believe the lie that someone else’s prejudice makes you less deserving of dignity and respect.
